Residential Child Care

At Oaks Indian Mission, we serve boys from ages 7-17 from over 12 different tribes. Children come to Oaks by placement of families or legal guardians, and tribes. We are licensed to house 58 children in home-like cottages where they receive love, food, shelter, clothing and guidance. Children attend school at Oaks Mission Public School.

SKILLS FOR LIFE

  • A Student Life Center utilized for recreation and Life Skills Programs.

  • Personal finance skills.

  • An after-school tutoring program.

  • Case Management addressing individual needs.

A PLACE TO LIVE AND LEARN

  • A loving home atmosphere.

  • A Spiritual foundation with consistent worship and opportunities for Bible study.

  • Cherokee culture and language classes.

  • Off-campus recreation including swimming, hiking, camping, sporting events and educational field trips.
